It is such a wonderful time of year. All of the hustle and bustle. People out everywhere visiting family, shopping for that last minute gift. Some of our furry friends get overlooked in the process.
If you visit Kitty City, 30 Union street in Concord you will see many hopeful faces looking out hoping for just the right person to adopt them and give them a new home. A shy torty that has grown up there looks out and wonders when it will be her turn for the carrier that will take her home with some nice family. She has been there since being rescued by some wonderful folks from the restaurant where she had been thrown out. Her life was trying to grab a left over scrap or two just to survive. She has seen many of the more outgoing cats leave.
This wonderful little cat is one of many of the lucky ones that have been saved from starvation, predators or getting run over while searching for enough food just to stay live. Each one has a story of loss, abandonment, or even worse before coming to Kitty City. They are anxious to start their new life with that precious new family.
Donations are always welcome whether it is just a few dollars or a container of Purin Cat chow or Clumping litter. Volunteers are also welcome. That many cats to care for means there is always plenty to do.
